- Be attentive wherever you are for opportunities to help someone, donate to help create the rotating pool.
- Do something nice for someone you don’t know (or don’t know very well).
- Spread the word. Personal thank you’s are required and you MUST “repay” the amount to you in small increments ($25) at the time we ask you to put it back (that is, pay it “back”), in 30 days. The reason for this measure — the funds have to move forward. ALL participants MUST pay it “forward”—we’d like them to do something nice for three people they don’t know, and ask those three people to do something nice for three more people or donate to make this pool possible. The idea is to consciously increase the goodness of the of our communities.
- Pay it forward. When you notice that somebody has done something nice for you, make a note in your mind to practice three acts of kindness towards other people, as described in Step 3
Susu (Rotating Five Hundred) is a collective collaboration of people who pool our resources, finances and time together for the benefit of the community. This is an emergency fund to help those in our community in need of IMMEDIATE assistance.
